improvising with acrylic paint

today i designed my own filter, because i cant buy a new lens yet. its actually just yellow acrylic paint over cellophane attached to the 18-55 mm by a hair tie. i am quite happy with all the experimenting, though the camera looks like a mess and there are splodgy dried paint bits on my journal and my fingers. i also found this nice crevice in my house to work in. its like a balcony, but enclosed and there are these potted plants around. i sit on the ground and have a quiet cup of tea.

i quite like the portraits i shot as the filter gave them a sort of fairy-ish feel. one, however, i converted to b&w (which, quite obviously, i love).

this yellowness worked with still life too. since i’ve chosen the new file format (RAW) for shooting, i had the chance to use other filters which are within the camera as part on the inbuilt post processing.

so yeah, i quite like this set. i’m starting to think a career in photography would be super nice.
oh look. tis a spidey!

(1, the enclosed space, 2,3,4 pages from my much loved leather bound journal)
au revoir.
